This is the time of year where plans are made, goals set, and our lives are critiqued. Here are 10 quotes that will inspire you on days when your goals seem out of reach.
1. Don’t Over Think It. Just Do It. Probably my biggest problem. Once we start putting in the action, we figure out the rest. Don’t worry.
2. No comparison. Don’t you dare compare yourself, your business, your journey to someone else’s. You have no clue where they started from, what resources they have or how hard they’ve worked. The only one that matters is you. You are your competition. So go further than you did yesterday, work harder than you did last time, believe in yourself more this time. Your Only Real Competition is YOU.
3. Don’t Give UP. Hang in there. Most people give up when it gets hard or when they’ve hit a setback. Others when they are tired of not really seeing results. But little do they know that the breakthrough was right there. All they needed to do was ride it out this last time. What logical sense does it make to get so far and then just let go. ‘One moment, while I slash my other tires.”- says No One EVER.
4. Break Your BIG goal down into Numbers that are Realistic for you. Having a Goal of Losing 60 lbs sounds daunting. But when you break it down to 5 lbs a month, its all very doable.
5. When you hit your Goal~ all the late nights, early mornings, money saved, emails, water drinking, phone calls, books read, workouts, investments, time and energy spent~ Will ALL BE WORTH IT!
6. You made the decision. Now commit to it. Simple as that.
7. Ok. So some call it New Year’s Resolutions or Goals for the Year but in actuality…. It’s a DAILY commitment. You wont get to goal waiting til December 2018 to achieve it. You gotta keep that goal in front of you daily and do something every day that puts you closer to it.
8. You’re Never Too Old to Begin Again. It’s actually pretty refreshing. You can’t go back in time, but you can start now and change how your story goes. So if you’re starting school again, moving into a new city, changing careers, starting a new business, giving love another try, learning a new skill, skydiving reconnecting with family members…. Whatever it is, You can make a start now and make a new ending.
9. Courage is not the absence of fear. It’s putting in the work despite fear. You’re not alone. Everyone feels fear and your body naturally reacts to fear. The fear may not go away so Let your Faith be greater than your fear. But until then, Do It Afraid. And the phenomenal thing happens, you learn to trust and believe that you will survive, you will achieve and those fears start to dwindle away.
10. It’s Coming. Be persistent and consistent but also be patient. Great things take time. Keep working and make sure you’re ready when that time comes.
I know I said 10, but this last one is really important.
11. Celebrate the Small Wins. They get you to the Big One. You lose 2 lbs, you saved $70, you aced that test, you gained 1 customer, you worked out today, you spent time with your spouse, you found a business partner… Celebrate everything. Small progress matters and each achievement gets you closer and closer to your Bigger Goal. Success is a series of small wins.
